Medical Health Check-up Camp is organised on 28 March
2010 at Shadipur Slum Area by DRSDO
Delhi Rural and Slum Development Organisation
organized a free medical check up camp on 28th March at
Chacha Ramtirath Park, near Shadipur metro station in
the western Delhi for the benefit of poor, labourers and
residents of JJ clusters of Sangam Colony, Pandav Nagar
and Ramesh Nagar. The Rajindar Nagar MLA Sh Ramakant
Goswami inaugurated the camp and informed about the
state government’s welfare schemes for the poor and slum
dwellers of the national capital and assured his every
cooperation for such initiatives of non-governmental
organizations of the area. He appreciated the work
undertaken by the DRSDO for the under privileged class
of people of Delhi.


The
programme began with the presentation of bouquet to the
chief guest and welcome remarks by the chairman of the
organisation Sh Sanjay Kumar. Dignitaries present on the
occasion include Dr Adarsh Kumar the CMO of Mobile
Health Scheme of the Delhi government, Sh Abdul Rashid
Agwan a leading social worker and chief editor of NGO
India and several social and political leaders of the
area. In his brief remarks Sh Agwan applauded efforts of
the DRSDO team for the poor and destitute and called it
a matter of great virtue serving such a hapless section
of human society. Sh Ajay Sinha joint secretary of the
DRSDO thanked the guests and other dignitaries at the
close of the inaugural ceremony.


Over
1050 people were checked during a six hour long session
beginning early morning by the doctors of Mobile Health
Scheme and general medicines were provided to them by
the NGO. The attending doctors also advised people
regarding preventive and social measures for a healthy
life.
